Chapter 3 Interlude #1: Megan

Megan Kendrick had a system.  If a man had potential, she’d invite him to the cemetery and ask him to tour the mausoleum to determine if he was boyfriend-worthy.  It was a good test, she thought.  She knew she was a difficult woman and it would take a brave man to keep up with her.  Besides, it was just fun.

In high school, she figured fat Dewayne Houston wouldn’t go through with the test, but he did.  Megan suspected that he was weak of mind and would have done pretty much anything.  Still, he passed the test and deserved a date or two.

Ulysses Shannon, on the  other hand, was a cowardly soul.  As a teen he just out right refused.  As an adult, he agreed but then chickened out.  Well, good riddance to him.

Casey Simovitch was a better prospect than Ulysses.  Megan found his braids intriguing and he wasn’t fat like Dewayne.  Megan asked him to tour the mausoleum and he eagerly agreed.  Encouraged, Megan brought him home where things progressed from flirting to kissing and from kissing to the bedroom.

For a first time, Casey was alright, Megan supposed.  But, just alright wasn’t really good enough.  Megan shooed him out the door as soon as possible.  She couldn’t resist making some faces at him behind his back.  Really, Casey was a bit of a let down.

Gosh, I thought there was more to it than that. What a waste of a mausoleum tour.
“Gosh, I thought there was more to it than that. What a waste of a mausoleum tour.”

After Casey left, Megan went into the kitchen to eat some left over mac ‘n cheese.  There she met Paulo Lentz, the new maid.  For a maid, he sure had a nice physique.  Not too fat, not too skinny, and no braids in sight.  But after a night of first-time woohoo, Megan was tired.  And she had to go to work later that afternoon.  A flirty greeting was all Paulo got that day, but he stayed on her mind all through her next two shifts.

Megan accidentally bumped into Marion Whitehead while jogging.
Megan “accidentally” bumped into Marion Whitehead while jogging.

Meanwhile Megan was moving up in the criminal organization.  The boss was pleased with her after sending her to get to know a scientist named Marion Whitehead.  Megan didn’t know the particulars of the job, but she was supposed to get to know the girl and become friends (a difficult job for a nasty-tempered girl like Megan).

The boss rewarded Megan with 2 days off, so she decided to celebrate by asking Paulo on a date.  He agreed to meet her at the diner.  They had a good time, so Megan mentioned her boyfriend test.

A boyfriend test? Ok. I think I can handle that.
“A boyfriend test? Ok. I think I can handle that.”

Paulo laughed good-naturedly about it and agreed to go to the mausoleum.  They toured the place and had a great time.  Megan found herself really liking Paulo.  Maybe he was the one for her.

Maybe well find some of the fabled death plants in the mausoleum.
“Maybe we’ll find some of the fabled “death plants” in the mausoleum.”

Exiting the cemetary, Megan asked Paulo to come back  home with her.  She made sure he knew what she meant.  Back home, they flirted, kissed, and eventually  made it to the bedroom where Megan’s second woohoo attempt was much more enjoyable than her first.

Woohoo with a maid gives new meaning to the phrase after glow.
Woohoo with a maid gives new meaning to the phrase “after glow”.

But, once back at work, the boss dropped a bomb on Megan’s budding relationship with Paulo.  “Get to know Nicholas McCord, our new recruit,” the boss told her.  “Get to know him in a friendly way,” he said, making sure Megan understood exactly what that meant.

Oh Nicholas, I just love a man in overalls!

"Oh Nicholas, I just love a man in overalls!"

Megan agreed readily, but she secretly hoped that Nicholas wouldn’t take her up on the seduction.  She didn’t want to jeopardize her relationship with Paulo.

Things with Nicholas went well enough.  Even though she didn’t find him attractive at all, she complimented him about his looks and his personality.  She found out he was married to Felicia McCord.  But, he wasn’t a very faithful husband.  He allowed Megan to flirt with him and kiss him.  He even agreed to spend the night with her.  At first he refused her invitation to woohoo, content to just cuddle, but then he wanted to make out and eventually the deed was done.

We better not. My wife will kill me.

"We better not. My wife will kill me."

What an ass.  Nicholas’ wife didn’t deserve such a cheat.  For her own part, Megan just hoped that Paulo never found out.  But, when it came right down to it, Megan would do anything for the job, even if it meant that she never found love.

The boss was pleased with Megan’s work.  Now he had blackmail material on Nicholas McCord.  Megan supposed he had blackmail material on her as well, but the boss wouldn’t get far with it.  Megan would sacrifice Paulo and any other love on her climb toward becoming Emperor of Evil.  Eventually she would be the boss and then she’d do all of the blackmailing.

Muahahahaha!
“Muahahahaha!”

This, or something very like this (there are still formatting issues that I am hoping to work out in future posts) is what I’ve always wanted my blog to look like. I’m glad I’ve moved to to WordPress officially.

Yeah, the new layout looks really great! I enjoyed this chapter, Megan is a tease, but I guess she’s gotta do what she can to get ahead :)

OOooh I love Megan!! She’s so motivated. Also I love evil sims. I’m so glad I’ve finally caught up – Megan would have been my vote anyway. Deanna just looked … I dunno, too evil??

Love the new layout and glad you moved to WP. It’s much better here. I still like the community at the Legacy forum though. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately, even adding in your vote for Megan, Deanna still wins the heir poll. You haven’t seen much from her yet. I’m getting there… ;)

Ooooh? for some reason I thought Starting Chapter 3 w/Megan meant she won the poll I’m sorry. I must have missed something. I’ll check again.

I love “the boyfriend challenge” – that is sooo funny x

Nothing against Deanna, but I would really like to see Megan as a heir. It was a pity she lost the heir pool. She’s has a freaking fun to read character!

    • hrootbeer Says:

She was fun for me to write, too. I was secretly hoping for her as well, so it was a bit disappointing when she didn’t win. But I made the most of Deanna.
